CellRestrictionΒΆ

The CellRestriction can be used to reduce the computational costs of a simulation. All cells which do not have a specified DomainIds and are further away than RadiusOfInfluence from such a cell are set to Finite Element degree zero. This means that the RadiusOfInfluence together with the cells of given DomainIds define an environment, on which boundary Dirichlet boundary conditions are applied. This can e.g. be used for Silicon photonics applications where light is well guided in high quality waveguides and the environment has only little influence.
