Used to increase the sampling rate of the beam’s spectrum. The original sampling spacing $\Delta k$ is either detected automatically by the solver or prescribed by setting DeltaK. The new sampling spacing is equal to $2^{-N} \Delta k$ , where $N$ is the number of refinement steps.
