Waist¶

This parameter sets the width where the amplitude of the beam in the transverse direction has decayed to $\frac{1}{e}$ in the focal plane. The tensorial nature of the beam allows for different Waist sizes in $\hat{s}$ and $\hat{p}$ direction. If only one waist is specified, it is used for both directions. The beam waists are specified in units of meter, $\units{m}$ .
