The parameter allows to select which part of a mirror symmetric face is extracted. Symmetric retains the mirror symmetry boundary condition while selecting Both extracts the full grid without the boundary condition. Inner and Outer select only one part of the symmetric face. In the example below, Inner selects the discrete half while Outer selects the other half.
